IIME is International Collaborative Learning where schools in Japan and schools overseas interactively learn on global themes using ICT and express what they want to convey to the world on the theme in a visible way, jointly creating one mural (a big picture of 5-12 feet) by halves as their learning outcome.

40,092 students of 1,240 schools from 64 countries/regions participated in JAM's projects in 2006-2016. And more than 600 murals were completed!

Collaborative learning is proceeded according to the five steps.
Step1: Start with self-introduction (students, schools, surroundings)
Step2: Research on the common topic and exchange information/opinions
Step3: Discuss what to convey to the world on the theme and express their

           thoughts into a message, Compose a mural design
Step4: Draw a half of a mural in Japan and sent it to their partner,
           Draw the other half to complete the mural in the partner's class
Step5: Appreciate the work and reflect the whole activity

Finally the mural will go to Japan Art Mile. JAM keeps the murals neatly and safely and display them in Japan and in the world.

Students develop 21st Century Skills in the process of the collaborative learning.

IIME plays a role of contributing to WORLD PEACE, by fostering global citizens who will create sustainable future in collaboration with the same generation in the world.
